Community

A Welcoming Community Hub

The Square Mirrabooka is proud to be a welcoming and inclusive community hub at the heart of Perth's eastern corridor. We are committed to fostering meaningful connections, celebrating local culture, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the wellbeing and vibrancy of our community.

Community Partners

We are proud to work alongside a range of respected community, cultural and not-for-profit organisations, including the Sudbury Community House, Mall Walkers Group, Mirrabooka Community Choir, City of Stirling, and more.

Community

Sudbury Community House

The centre partners with Sudbury Community House to support local community initiatives and foster meaningful collaboration. Together, the partnership delivers and explores opportunities for engaging community activations, including cultural celebrations such as NAIDOC Week, helping to create inclusive experiences that celebrate the diversity and spirit of the local community.

City of Stirling & 12 Buckets Youth Program

In partnership with 12 Buckets and the City of Stirling, the centre hosts weekly youth drop-in sessions, providing young people with a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space to connect with their peers. The program offers comfortable seating, social spaces, light refreshments, and access to experienced facilitators who encourage positive interactions, build connections, and support youth engagement within the local community.

Mall Walkers Group

The centre supports a weekly community walking group every Wednesday at 8:00am, providing a safe and welcoming environment for community members to stay active, social, and connected. Seasonal morning teas, including Christmas and Mother's Day celebrations, are also hosted throughout the year to recognise regular participants and strengthen community connections.

NDIS & Mission Australia – Harmony Week

During Harmony Week, the centre partners with NDIS and Mission Australia to host a vibrant community market celebrating diversity, inclusion, and local connection. The event brought together local organisations, not-for-profit groups, artisan stallholders, and family-friendly activities, creating opportunities for the community to connect, learn, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of the local area.

Mirrabooka Community Choir

The centre is proud to support the Mirrabooka Community Choir by providing a performance space near the Food Court during key community periods, including school holidays and the festive Christmas season. These performances help create a welcoming atmosphere while showcasing local talent and bringing the community together.
